Nimbus 197 - Cannock

Car  C63 AMG
Being serviced (I assume) at REA Cannock this morning. Anyone?

Also, a 54 plate 182 with black alloys heading toward Cannock on the Chester Road. Anyone?

I sold a Nimbus 197 to a young Cannock lad a few months back, could be him... (...I work at Motorhouse)

:)

Thanks Lee - I'm in the market for one and it seems like a good deal, but it's an import...

£10,500 on 5k for a 57 plate...

I had a new import 172 back in 03. If the price is right an import is a good buy, and that sounds a pretty good price to me.

Oh and a free 6 month warranty extension!

Have a looksee and let me know - thanks in advance :)

They're blagging with the warranty, imports still have the 3 year warranty a UK car has. Provided the car came from an EU country.

Or are they offering a full warranty for 6 months?

The 1st year is full and through Renault, years 2 and 3 are covered by the dealer, so they can argue about imports, but I didn't have any problems with the 172.

Well... it was registered on 3rd March 07 in the EU, but not in the UK until Sept 07, hence the 57 plate.

He said that 'France' sees that start date of the warranty as March, so therefore mine will run out in March 2010, so he will extend it to Sep 2010 for me.

Did sound like a bit of a blag.

Also, he didn't know if I'd need to MOT it in March or Sept - any ideas please?

How many miles do you commute Lee? I'm doing 33 each way - Walsall to Worcester.

I think I used to see you when I did Walsall to Solihull every day

He's right about that. It starts from the date it was registered in it's country of origin.

Good question about the MOT, I've never really thought about that. I'd guess it's when it was registered over here though.

Tell me about it Rex, but it's not all the commute. Getting to and from track days soon piles the miles on. I'm actually keeping them down on the Cup. The Trophy was on 42k when it went.

I do about 42 miles a day. Cannock to Birmingham. Plus the odd trip to Southam these days, but I think I'll start using the train for that. Plus if we move offices next year to Baskerville House I'll probably get the train to work too.
