No cold air from heaters but blowers work fine on hot

I have a 2004 Clio 182 with digital climate control, car fans work perfect, apart from I'm unable to get any cold air from the vents, I can have the heat setting on min but still blows hot air, and tried all the different setting on the controls and no luck. I've checked all the normal stuff like coolant levels etc, any ideas? Anyone think it could be stiff mixer flaps behind the dash??? Is this common?? Car had been sat up for 5 months before I bought it 2 months ago....

I would imagine it's the same problem as I had with my 172, there is a mixer paddle for the hot air and cold air, on the side of that is a female type star gear, they usually break out so they're turning fine just not actually turning the paddle, I fixed mine by taking out the screws to the left of the clutch pedal, and you can then get at it, I superglued the splayed out pieces and then put a cable tie round it to hold a bit more, I thought about a jubilee clip around there but I don't think it will fit back in properly! The long and short of it is I fixed it like that 10 months ago and it still works fine, it also took me less than 30 minutes so you can definitely avoid a big repair bill cause to do it properly means taking all the dash out hence the big labour costs! I know there is a really good illustrated guide on one of the various clio forums on exactly how to do it but I can't seem to find it at the moment!
