No fault code reader connection - RS Tuner?

Tried my mates Snap on code reader on the Exclusive, but it wouldn't connect, so I tried mine on it yesterday (Not snap-on) and the same - 'connection error', hmmm.


So, as I effectivelly know little about RS Tuners, I know mine has some type of RS Tuner map on it - Do they stop certain types of code readers/equipment from readng fault codes?

I can't imagine they would, but best thought id ask before I start stripping back loom tape and looking for broken wires!

That would be my suggestion... something sounds broken on the OBDII interface / wiring
