Noise cancelling headphones

They work in all cases really, you'll get a selection of buds so experiment with them for a good seal - worked great on my motorbike/gym/tube/aeroplane so no worries there.

It's important to get a good seal though, because otherwise you'll lack bass and you'll hear outside noise. Lots of people like the sponge fitment buds you get, but personally I use the medium rubber buds.

Bargain though, look elsewhere and you'll see them at £70.

Yeh Ety's are good too mate, but by no means 'better' it's all subjective. Personally I'm more than happy with my Shures, and it they break you just phone up and they send you new ones...no quibble, not that mine have broken.

Nope, my last flight was a 3.5mm though so was fine. You can usually buy them on the flight for £2 or something mind.

You'll not regret the Shure, I'm thinking of buying some myself for the Mrs.

keep seeing these in dixons tax free at well whatever airport i am flying out of, did fancy bose but price put me off, how do these things work, do they also work like normal headphones?

in theory yes the shure ones do as they are just normal earphones except they just bung up your ear canal they are passive ones

active ones have a micraphone that adds an inverted copy of teh outside noise to what ever your listening too so it removes it but they can affect the sound quality unlike the passive ones also you dont need them turned up anywhere near as loud as there is no other noise
