Noise from LF when turning hard right at speed.

  Clio 172 Cup
I've got a weird burring noise coming from the LF when turning hard right at speed.

I thought it was the wheel bearing, so i bought a wheel bearing and booked it in a garage, but they said the wheel bearing is fine and does not need changing. The tightened up the hub nut (although they said it was loose!), but the noise is still there.

The only other thing I can think it being is something to do with the brakes, as I upgaded the to brembo max discs and carbone lorraine pads.

You can hear the noise in my trackday video at brands hatch when going around paddock hill bend, surtees and clearways:

Any ideas.

No idea but what exhaust is it?
What minute is the bend at?

Sounds like wheel arch liners to me.....did both mine on coilovers.....and I wouldn't have said it was slammed. Say around -45mm, raised it to around -35mm and was ok.

car has not been lowered. i actually take the 16's off and put 15's on, so massive clearance.

Neal, the garage said may be that, so you could be right. i just need the most accurate answer so i don't go changing everything.

dont ever take your car back to that garage

loose hub nut will defo need new bearing if it was loose and you need a new nut every time they are one use only like every part on the clio thats why there will be a blob of red or yellow wax to indicate that its never been undun

Looking at those pics, it looks just like the wheel has come off as the disc and hub are still in situ....surely if the hub nut come off then the wheel would have just folded or something like??

my hub nut wasn't loose not too sure what happened as i havent found a real reason as yet but the hub flange ended up split which you cant see and the bearing internals where damaged. am still working on the car at the moment

anyone else got any thoughts, or should i assume its the drive shaft, although it would be a strange noise for a driveshaft.

i cant hear your vid as im at work but mine is making a kind of tick tick tick tick noise but very quickly when at 30mph+, i've only just changed my discs to brembo max's and greenstuff pads and wonder if its

1. the same noise as you
2. the disc's?
