Non cup 2 cup

I presume we are talking 182s? Tbh its a pointless exercise, even on the 172s You are best just removing as much weight as you possible and putting decent aftermarket suspension on

  182
was thinkin of havein diff suspension anyways but aint the hubs diff and maybe sumthin else ?

  LY R26
ABS, Air con, traction control, sound deadening,
get a cup spoiler, splitter

Search though, been covered loads...

  182
So if i wanted to keep the ABs the only other mechanical diff is the suspension(which i cud change to coilovers anyways) and the front hubs ?

  b/g 182, meg tourer
for what reason do you want it to be more like a cup?
power/weight ratio? looks? feel?

for ower/weight, remove all the things you dont need (rear seats, aircon, traction controll, abs, sound deadning etc... there will be a slight improvement

if its for looks, remove xenon washer jets, fit a cup splitter, spoiler, door badges etc...

your 182 hubs are bigger than the 172 hubs. You'll need the 182 Turinis (antracite) for your cup mod, because the 172 cup turinis will be sticking out too far because of the difference in ET value.

All 182 hubs are the same ; cup or none cup

172 cups have longer driveshafts to widen the track etc.

do they???

i know we have thinner glass apparantly lol

Driveshafts longer ?? No mate , it's only the cup wheels that give wider track on the 172 Cup in comparison to the normal 172 ; different ET to bring them out more. Same hubs for both 172s

Yeh the glass seems to be thinner , lighter

I just wanna improve the handlin of the car and thought the cup hubs where diff (bigger bearings and lower track rod end connections)

As for the looks im gettin the spoiler which i think looks better, dunno bout the splitter as ive heard they brake dead easy and the wheels i was thinkin trophy style or just have mine dun in the cup colour.

  182
buyin a cup isnt reli wat im after as i love me 182 FF and ive had from new and is me first car.
Ive heard the hubs are diff on the cup which helps with the turn in speed and was thinkin of just changein me hubs for them of a cup if thats all id have 2 do.

No they aren't, 182 hubs are same as 172, 182cup packed are different, hence the reason 182's use different coloivers depending on wether cup packed.
