Non sport macpherson strut MOT question

Last MOT i had an advisory for both sides front Macpherson strut at upper attachment,

I realise there is slight movement, But this just seems to be Renaults s**t design?

Is there a waver for this ? I don't want to get conned into having them replaced as ive had them off for lowering and the rubbers are fine.

Or is there anything i can say.

Also the garage i've used before is a joke and will not be using them again, So i can just hope the new garage realises there's nothing wrong with them.

In the past they've seemed to take any previous advisory as an excuse to tell me this year it needs doing. Sounds stupid and in previous years the work that was an advisory did actually need doing the next year i.e. balljoints.

Buy yeah i see what your saying it is only an advisory.

Just wondered if VOSA had a notice out to say movement is common on the clio etc, Had a search and there isn't as far as i can tell.

Nah, don't think so mate, just take it to a different MOT station(which does free retests) and get it done there. Dont mention previous mot's

Yeah that's the plan this year, Im replacing ARB bushes just to be safe, All ball joints and tyres where done last year.

Trouble is just paid for my insurance on my own policy this year, Clutch went on me, That was another 300. Sport alloys and choice mods came to 300 ish.. So im just clutching (no pun intended) at straws not wanting to be told work needs to be done that doesn't need to be.

Hopefully will pass this year as its in good shape... My previous MOT garage for 2 years is a rip off and took me that long to decide they where.

Also last MOT papers have to be provided for the new don't they? So they will be able to see the advisory's.
