non uk 182

Was only a guess with the magazine as Lee never used to with his 172 but does with his 182, might depend where you get it from!

Few hundred quid, tbh I looked at an import but for what I could beat a dealer down to no price it wasnt worth it for the sake of about £500.

Also, it wont have locking wheel nuts AFAIK (well, non-UK 172s didnt, I think 182s are the same). About £20 for a set.

AA cover - pah, who needs that! (actually, probably a good idea with a Renault)

Alarms vary, about £300+ for a decent one.

Yeah, my 182 is an import and doesnt have an alarm or locking wheel nuts.

I bought a set of McGard Ultra (5/5 in Evo mag, they couldnt get them off) locking wheel nuts for £35 from Halfords.

motorpoint will give you mats...The difference is still 2k as an average and i sold my import last december with no loss because it was an import.I priced it along with all the others in the trader and told the woman who bought it that it was an import..The only time an import looses money is when you go to a dealer for trade in.They offered me £5800 for a 172 with 22k on the clock. It was registered april 02

Emmision regulations tend to vary from country to country with most cars - for example sweden and switzerland have very high requirements for vehicle emmisions were as Italy tend not to - we had a clio which was an import and no matter what we did we couldnt get it through the emmisions test on the MOT - we found out that the vehicle was infact an italian spec one which have a low emission requirement and we ended up reversing our courtesy car up to the emissions tester and sticking the detection pipe in the exhaust of that - just to get it past the MOT. So beware of unofficial imports.

i got mine from motorpoint with cat 1 alarm + mats + cdchanger (which they said came as standard on some of the imports they got so i said "i want that one" little brittain style.

I got mats, boot net, 2 cans of tyre foam, my splitter on the back seat, locking nuts (in the glove box) , AA card (havent tried to use it yet) mine also has window etching! it is an import cos I got no alarm with it which was a result as I dont want any trips to the dealer for 3 beeps etc :devilish:

i got a UK car, but paid Import price for it.
Yep, best option now (but wasnt at the time I got ma import 172). Renault dealer wouldnt even negiotiate with me.

Like others, I got mats and luggage net. Didnt get the AA cover though - anyone know how I organise that for a post-Jan 2003 import? (apart from pay the AA, before I get any smart replies!).

Would be interested about that AA cover myself, as mine was registered Oct 04 (import) but did get mats, luggage net etc. and got quoted £200 for same alarm as reno fit + £20 for locking wheel nuts.

I have a last of the line 172, registered Mar 04. £9999 brand new from a car supermarket. Its full uk spec apart from the etching, wheel nuts and alarm. I got the AA cover included, and paid an extra £250 for a cat 1 alarm. A Bargain or what?

No Renault mag though?
