Noob with a 172

I guess that is it no surprise that I ended up with one of these eventually, with a friend or two mine owning them with them making plenty of sense despite a couple of flaws and pricey(ish) jobs. However, after driving it you do come to love them!

My name is Chas, and it is not the first time I have owned a French hot hatch, but it is the first Renault hot hatch I have owned. After viewing all sorts of cars out there on the market this gem turned up. With me only having a retro for a daily for some time I figured it was time to take the strain off it and acquire one of these.

Its a relatively low mileage car with a number of extra bits fitted including:

Quantum Remap
Samco inlet elbow
K-Tec panel filter
Speedline Turini wheels with Contis and Toyos
182 Cup rear spoiler
Proflow 182 esque Stainless Steel exhaust
Renault Sport mats inside

I am sure some peeps have spotted other mods so feel free to point them out .

The car is quite a joy to drive truth be told. In terms of what I have done to the car I have given it a service with genuine parts and generally piled the miles on.

We shall see about the drop. My last two daily drivers both were lowered and I do enjoy having a daily at a normal height, especially with how this thing is handling! We shall see how long the temptation lasts .

I was wondering if the front end had been resprayed or if it was down to most of the front end being made out of plastic. The Skoda Fabia splitter is something I suspected as well, seeing how much Renault charge for a stock item.

As for the RST? Not a problem :

The interior did look like this:

It is now on its way back to stock with mixed reactions from money. It is now soemthing like this. One of the days it shall be finished :

Well, I have some progress to report on the Clio!

It recently received a full service including all of the filters and oil. However, it has just gone into BTM to get the belts changed .
