Hi to all at cliosport.net :)

My name's Jason, standard bloke really-football,women,cars,cider,banter... I'm currently on the look out for a new car and the 172/182 seems like a good choice. I love n/a cars with good chassis. I've had a few hondas (ep3,dc5,ek9) and love 'revvy' engines. But as you get older things change and money is needed elsewhere (wedding fml) so need a fun and economical car thats reasonably priced.:D

Currently driving a vw mk4 golf gti 1.8 with breathing mods and a stage 1 re-map. Running around 195bhp. It's ok in a straight line but awful in the corners (where it matters) and not the most economical (27mpg on avg).

Been a member of various over forums so I'm aware that the search button is the way to go! Thought I'd join here to gather as much information as possible for my pending purchase.

Hey , are these cars really as unreliable as people make out? My best mate is a mechanic and told me to stay away (prob cos he don't wanna work on it lol). Also heard the cambelts are expensive to replace etc?

I've researched the forum and it just gets scary when looking at faults :-/.
