North east cambelt change!?

Hi, has anyone had there cam and aux belts changed local to the north east? looking for someone with all the correct tools etc. Anyone have any reccomendations? or places to stay away from?

cheers mate, doesnt suppose you can remember price? Did it come with a warranty? incase its fitting poorly as iv read alot about people having the belts fitted but the garage not using correct tools and it snapping like a thousand miles later or something.

Hiyer Mate,

Had mine done at Mendal Motors two weeks ago, It cost £144.00 for the timing kit but i also needed a new Dephaser pulley (£141.90) & Multibelt Kit (£118.00) Service set me back £200.00. They are a renault specialist so i would image they use all the proper tools, didnt however say anything about a warranty but i would have thought the invoice would cover it for so many miles.

Im from more Acklam way mate so dont really head down that way, Think there is 1 or 2 more in the area though. Sure we will have crossed paths at some point if your often round the middlesbrough way though, will keep an eye out for you in future mate.

Ah well. Now i think about it dont think the 1 i was next to had tinted windows, was definately on black rims though. You ever go to t park on wednesdays or to any meets?

Not really since i got the clio, tbh only recently started to get more involved with it. Are you often over there ? may have to head over some time and check it out.

I dont go very often to be honest, i mostly use it for an excuse to get a burger king lol. Although it is nice knowing you have 1 of the best cars there lol apart from the ocasional skyline, supra, and this 600bhp ibiza cupra that always tends to be there, which by the way is gorgeous! you hear him coming from like a mile away, the pops and bangs from his exhaust sound like a mad farmer on the lose with his shotgun haha

lol good excuse, yeah it always used to be full of corsa's & saxo's, mind it sounds like quite a few lads off here head over there. I bet that ibiza can shift, is it the old shape or the new FR, either way im dying to see it.

Its the old shape square style ones, it definately shifts! ive never seen anything move like it! not to mention he was wheelspinnig at the time lol! can barely put 3rd down on a bone dry road.

We have a purple one and a black one round our way both fitted with huge intercoolers and a silver one with a turbo, any chance its one of them ?? Wouldnt like to be the guy that pulled up along side it thinking it was standard lol.

Nope its yellow with a full role cage and i think the wheels are black, you'll know when you see it! especially if its moving lol sounds immense!
