I was think 50 shots on a progressive, running a realistic max of 30 brake day to day, just for sh*ts and giggles!
Bearing in mind I should be quicker than a valver to 60mph anyway due to gearing and torque!
*Valver Owner Flame Suit On*
I was going to ask if you had driven a RSi or even knew anything about them... But you are far to superiour to have bothered, knowing its lower down the range is good enough for you!Quote: Originally posted by Mitsi on 04 February 2004

then when u come to a corner u stack it! and the valver screams round the corner without braking!
NickyB - lets not start this one again, there is NO legislation in place making Nitrous use on the road illegal, your only issue would be getting insurance for it - the police/customs&excise/dept.of.transport have nothing saying its illegal to use on the road.Quote: Originally posted by NickyB on 04 February 2004

.....and even that aint a problem as adrian flux now cover N20 equipped cars on the public highway.
Roamer as a man who knows his stuff, would 30 odd brake be damaging to my engine?Quote: Originally posted by Roamer on 04 February 2004

Ask about it fella, there is nothing but praise for the RSi. I neverly bought a Valver but I thought f**k it what do I want an old heap of sh*t like that for, so I picked up a nice 1998 model... One that has given me no problems may I add!
Mate, one thing youve got to remember is that when they quote say 35bhp you wont get near to that figure, more like 20-25bhp if youre lucky, and the increase is not really that much of a kick, with anyone Id advise to look at a http://www.noswizard.com/noswizards kit, its a wet kit so it chucks in a fuel/nitrous-oxide mix to try and keep the afr on spec (ish) and if you get one of their installers to install and check it all when jets are upgraded you can purchase their very cheap engine insurance which covers it if the install of nitrous actually causes damage.Quote: Originally posted by NickyB on 04 February 2004
Roamer, I wouldnt put much more than 35 in I wouldnt have thought, remember I only run 110Bhp as standard!
Unless I have my stickers in!

Bloody hell Toms123, do I tell you anything you do is a waste of money? do I tell you to go get a different car and save your money cos youll still be slow compared to me?Quote: Originally posted by toms123 on 04 February 2004
Am i missing something here. NOS in a an RSI - what a waste of money. For starters you will probably blow the engine up, head first of course, the increse in power will be sh*te, u wont be able to get round corners and it gonna cost you lots of money each time just to keep up with the likes of - well, valvas. I may be overly cynical but it seems like a total waste of time to me - it will still be an rsi and it will still be slow. Relatively speaking of course. Mate save ure doh, sell ure rsi before you break it and invest in a GTIR or even a valva.
Thanks Roamer... Its my car and I can do what I want!Quote: Originally posted by Roamer on 04 February 2004

No I dont, and really if you aint got anything constructive to say then why not say nothing at all..... Im pretty sick of people just posting something down on a topic, sayin its crap/not worth it/ etc etc etc
