Not a happy girl!!!

popped into town this afternoon for a bit of shopping!. reversing my car into a space and what happens?? I hit the kurb!!! My own fault, I was rushing as other cars were waiting for me to get out the way...

I havent got any pictures, Luckily it hasnt taken a chunk out of the rim.. It has left a small white scratch on the spoke about 5cm longish. It not deep.. Do you think somewhere like chips away or dent magician would charge much to re furb it???

After all that I ended up buying nothing in town as I was in a bad mood!!!

i done it with my cup wheels...big scratch...stood out at first..

a decent coatings place will fix a minor scratch for around £10-15

full wheel refurb is around £35ish

Ouches all round. Just had some damage fixed where I tried to machie polish a scratch out of a spoke and went through the laquer done by a guy in Swindon Brazo uses, ready to be picked up, was 40-50 quid I think, will find out on Weds when I collect.

You might find if you ring one of the prestige dealers (like BMW, Jag, Merc etc) they might know someone who does their wheel refurbs so will do a good job

I used some Humbrol model paint, the colour matched a treat. You can get it from any model shop and only cost me £1!

My cousin has used them twice. once on his audi a3 (alloy) and once on his current car Mazda RX8 (bodywork) he was impressed with the results.. spose it depends on the guy that does it..

I'm no detective, but you can see from the swirled scrub on the tyre wall that this was caused by curbage.

I had to have one of mine redone last year after an incident with a drunk driver on the back road to mine from the motorway (you knows the good one)...never bothered trying to fix it just whipped it off and back down to recoat...

Luckily got a week off soon.. so get it done then!!! Its not that noticable.. but I know its there
