full guide with plenty pics comeing when its done. its getting an uprated clutch, new flywheel (the reason its getting stripped), 2 ARB drop links and new dampers all round along with a few wee other silly bits here n there!

screw at each side, un do it then it pulls off!

lol my crash removed mine for me but i fitted a new one on my new bumper and it just slid on and off!

Martin, i see this is the perfect occasion to install a dci100 intercooler and a decat

if i can find a cheap 100 cooler i will but only paid £30 for the 80 intercooler and pipework so dont want to spend an extra £200 for a brand new cooler!

decat will give some decent gains, a few bhp at least. looks like its coming along well, did you find out about those clutches from AP or sachs?

aye it was ment to be a runabout but i love the fact you can hammer its nuts in everywhere and it still gives 50mpg rather than the 25 the 172 gives (obviously not near as fast tho!) it suits my "always late" style lol never need to change gear just pulls in any gear so fancy clutch bigger injectors and a remap and it will be sweet lol

Macester, looking into it, ill sort something out or find out if i can use a 172 one or something just waiting to see the damage box will be off it friday morning!

going to contact my local stainless place who does exhausts, intercoolers all sorts of pipework too see about getting a stainless decat/downpipe made up, ill give it a shot and if its all good, passes an mot and give gains ill look at getting a few made up to order!

yeah have a look into it, could get some sort of group buy going if there is a few people interest. Seems to be a good mod, although magnastik was saying to fit the vnt15 turbo there is no space for the cat, so hmmm.. but one step at a time i suppose!
