As the weekend has been really good with decent sun and temperature I thought it would be a good idea to get the trophy scrubbed up.
The poor thing has been in the shed since Aug 2016 so gave it some love and a small drive.

When I bought the car 6 years ago I parked in Edinburgh City Centre on a Saturday night and there was a wine bottle thrown on the roof while I was working.
The roof was painted by a small local place but it was done very badly and then there was small bubbles appear on the roof, The car was then shipped off to ProTek and the work was done there Via @gally in Nov 2015.

Haha. I can see it in that image from the back. The spoiler looks dark. Really it's just the angle. From the front you can see it's actually bang on.

Mark doesn't accept colour differences. He had the magnifying glass out!

Tell me about it!! In regards to cars, if only we knew then what we know now right? I've had 3 series 2's, a fiesta rs turbo and a series 1 over the years and paid no where near what they are worth now, but prices have gone crazy!! I even had a radiant red 90-spec series 2 on an H reg, totally standard and even had the original exhaust. Best bit was that it only had 55k! That was in around 2010 and I paid less than 4 grand!!!! If only i'd hung on to it, would probably be chasing down 10 grand now 🙈

Yep gutting isn't it @182_steve , my uncle had a Graphite Grey F reg Mk2 XR2 from brand new and my mum swapped it with him for a caravan in about 2007, she then wanted a more modern car and sold the XR2 for peanuts with only around 35k on the clock and full ford history... if only I knew then what I know now.....:dizzy:
