Is yours a phase 1 mk2? Just had a similar problem with my phase 2. Mine would not even attempt turn over as the immobiliser refused to switch off. Turned out it was the blip/fob not sending the code to the decoder ring which in turn could not tell the immobiliser in the ecu that it was the correct key. Soloution = a new blip/fob from Renault, coded for £117. If your immobiliser light cancels as it should then your immobilisers ok and it must be something else. I believe the mk 2 phase 1's will still turn the engine (but wont fire) even if the immobiliser is on, unlike my mk 2 phase 2 which done nothing at all. Correct me if I'm wrong someone! First thing to check - make sure immobiliser light cancels. Good luck!

I've got the exact same problem with my Valver. A bloke from a recognised Clifford dealers is coming out tomorrow. I have the Concept 300, and just can't get the immobiliser to disengage. Car will turn-over but won't start. :( I can post back with what happens if you like?

Yeah dont think you can take the standard immobilser off so yeah it could be taht, does teh red light flash very quickly?

For me when the car is locked the red light flashes quite quickly. When she's unlocked it goes out. I try to start the car but the battery light and immobiliser light (orange one for me) on the dash do not illuminate. If I turn the key again, she turns over but does not start. I know from when she was working that these two lights need to come on, otherwise it means the immobiliser is still engaged.

I can lock her up again with no problems, I've even put her into "Valet Mode" with my security code which is meant to by-pass everything to allow you to get to a dealer. When in Valet Mode the light is constant red. Mine does this but still refuses to start. :(

It's great when a security kit stops thieves AND the owner. lol.
