Not sure on these wheels?

  Clio 1.2 16v
Hey all,

After purchasing the following wheels I am not sure if they are a bit over the top and I would have been better off going for some standard 172 alloys.

My car is a 1.2 Expression (2001) and is totally standard although I plan on lowering it with Eibach Sportlines and a spot of colour coding.

But the big question is do you think these alloys will look over the top on my tiny clio:

I got them alot cheaper than that but I am starting to regret it and I am considering selling them.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks, Sam

Imo they cry out chav and tasteless ; 172 alloys (or turinis ;)) would suit your car so much more.

Your car and choice though at the end of the day.

Don't do it... 172 alloys, Turinis or Team Dynamics :)

PS. Project??

EDIT: Just re-read & you've bought them already... I'd say sell them ASAP & get some 16s ;)

Thanks for the comments guys :)

They were an impulse buy!

How much do you think they are worth now with 3x decent yokohama tyres on and one other brand tyre with around 4mm tread.

ott? just a tad,

17s will kill your speed and handling too, 15 or cs rims ftw
Internet myths ftl, on the road 17s made absolutely no difference at all to my old 1.2, and imo they filled the arches quite nicely. The only difference I noticed between the 2 was that the GPS said the speedo was more accurate...

Heres my old clio when i was young and tastless lol, slowed it down waaaayyy to much, and look so big and daft. dont do it please!

Also before the slating lol, i was 17 and these were the 'in' mods of back then, also along with the long forgotten big bodykits lol

When i dropped mine 40mm on 17's it looked really good.
But now iv gone down to 16's even tho itd not much of a size decrease you can really feel the difference in handling, and its got that lil more pull starting off compared to when having my heavy 17s on
