NS Drive shaft How much ?

Hi Guys

How much would it cost for a new 172 cup dive shaft for the near side of my car am looking for a brand new one if possible or someone to recondition the old one with uprated parts if possible.

want one thats new prefferably as i have a reconed one on now and its done 30 miles and has fucked up

Renault don't do a recon service, its £199+VAT from Renault and only buy from Renault as pattern parts are terrible. I've had a lot of problems and just went genuine!

yes thats what i did rans euro car parts asked for one for a cup and the sent me one for about £80 just fitted it dropped it in second booted it past a bus pulled back in and when i came on the brake got a strange rumbling sound, went round the round about and got worse got home and the shaft is looses where the CV joint is well pissed off.

wouldn't mind but cos its N/S D/S its £30 in gear box oil every time ya fit one.

What's the deal with Clio shafts that they have a habit of going? What breaks? Why does the whole thing need replaced? I've heard of people replacing CV joints on cars, but never whole drive shafts.

dont know mate mine went first time i gave beans now its fooked.
 
I bought a brand new one, drivers side.

2500 miles later, the boot near the gearbox went and they wont replace it as its on coilovers, not that much lower than standard due to not being able to as running 888's. But they wont replace :(

id be happy getting 2500 miles at this stage in my life, allthough its not what ya want,

what are the distinctive signs of D/S failure as mine seems to rumble agresively under turning and is slightly less agrresive at 70 ish and gentle rumble at 30 ish
 
Dont have standard available. Dealing with it through birchdown as they supplied and fitted the part.

Was just thinking of getting a standard CV Boot and putting it over, aslong as it keeps the grease in. Cant be doing with another £200 bill, trying to save for ITB'S ffs! :(

To the op, mine doesnt rumble, no noise. Just shot its grease everywhere, :(

maybe you can help me...

i fitted my coilies 3 weeks ago, first with nearly standard height...

everything was ok ...

then i go low:D

and then it started to rattle during acceleration

i go a bit higher now (about 60mm drop) at front the "rattle" is still there...

both drive shafts are new i´ve change them 3 month ago ???
