Number Plate Light

Mines all of a sudden is not working and i have tried everything.

I have swapped over the light unit from my parents Clio and i have changed the bulb twice (once on the old unit & once on the new unit) but still nothing.

Is this a common fault and has anyone had this trouble before, if so can someone point me in the right direction ??

Very common fault and more than likely to be the connector (on the wire).

First try sanding and wd40.

If that fails then you need to cut one off a scrapped clio and then re-attatch to yours.

try spraying wd40 into the conection from the clio wiring and stick a needle in and scrap the green gunk off it

i had the same problem and turned out to be the connector and not the unit.

Took this apart at work and it was rotten to the core and I have it working just now bit got a light unit and loom on order

i had this problem i took out my left rear light undid the conectorsd then reconneted them then it worked

corrosion in the wiring loom normally. As said try and find a second hand one or buy new
