Number Plates And MOTs

Car  Racing Blue 182 Cup
Looking to get some clean number plates but was told if the makers name and BS number was not on the plate they wouldn't pass a MOT is this true? Or does it just depend on the tester? Surely if the font and spaces are correct then thats all that matters? I know that some number plate makers want docs before they will make plates due to plate theft etc but only want to know if they will pass the MOT test.

Its meant to be a fail if there's no BS number, but as always it's dependant on the tester.

Technically should fail but it depends how strict the tester is really.

I have a 3/4 front and a completely plain rear plate from ebay. You don't have to provide documents on ebay, just a message with what reg you want on the plate.

Must come with BS Number and a Postcode of the maker.

I made my own and i have a 3/4 plate on the front and passed every MOT:clap:

I have had this plate on for MOT,s for a few years. Nothing was said. Please ignore the broken splitter and the weirdo on the side (Its me). LOL.
