Number plates

Need some new number plates for my little light weight project car :)

So whats the smallest/lightest Number plate i can buy lol :) that are 100% legal and will past a MOT :)

Also whats the best place to buy from.

I've seen alot of really small plates but i'm not sure they are legal ????

cheers rob :)

Go for a normal sized plate with the ends cut down. As long as you have it all standard with an 11mm space between the legal sized & font lettering to the edge of the plate your fine.

3/4 size i reckon.
First up they arn't legal. Next up it won't pass the mot either.

:) thank you :)
do we know any company that will Remove the ends. ?
so theres only 11MM arund the ends then :)
as dont want to bodge it my self

As said you can either diy it, or give the measurements to places like fancyplates & they'll supply a plate that size. To be legal you must have it how I described :)

So 11 MM from the sides to the letters

what about from the top to the top of the letters? ?? :)

Cant u get stick on plates that look exactly like the real plates but just stick onto the bumper?? surely theyd pass an mot and they must be legal as their no different to normal plates,

Think thatll save a bit of weight.

Sticky Plates FTW :)

I believe you can get reflective spray? mask the numbers off, spray the whole plate and voila you can still get caught by a speed camera... ?
