Numberplate Light connection

The light is mainly either dim or flickers on and off....

I know its not the actual bulb as ive changed it twice before and I am now on a bright LED light from a member on here.

I have pushed the bulb in as well as taken it out and put it back in again, but it only works sometimes, and if I go over a bump it sometimes goes off.

Any ideas on what electrical fault is causing this???

From what I've read it's a fairly common problem.

Pop the bulb out and the connector, if there's green stuff its corrosion. Try scraping it with a screwdriver to wear it away and make sure the connections are tight.
I've buggered mine cos I closed the boot on it when I fixed it :/

Scrappy have one for £4 so might be a good bet if that doesnt work to get one there as I think they are £17 from renault
