Nurburgring trip 2012 pics and videos

Just got back from 4 days at the 'ring' absolutely awesome place to say the least and never seen a track like it...

seen quite a few clios there from england a few off of here also. I couldnt believe how many GT3 RS there was and M3's they were unreal on track anyway heres some crappy pics i took on the iphone and a few videos of the cars i went down with will update more when i find them online..

we went with 13 cars and only 12 came back Unfortunately the lad in the track prep'd valver smashed his up was great aswell really quick just pushed it too much and thats that,

the ph1 performed great and no faults at all and main thing came back in one piece my best lap was just under 9.30 doesnt mean loads to me but seemed a clean quick lap.

Where did the valver come off? What was the cost of that?! You would've been on the same ferry as that lad in the M3 CSL then cos he said the red cossie was on his ferry.

Can't believe how awesome that place is. Canny wait to go back. Were you there when the two bikers died on Sunday? Grim.

Actually thinking about it I remember the green Focus and the J reg Escort (is that a cossie? Thought Cosworths started on K?)

Yeah he was mate hed only done 700 miles since he had an engine rebuild it was rapid and looked spot on,,

Hes buying another valver shell and swapping all the bits over luckily engine is alright

That green mini was awesome project he'd done every single thing his self has a 2.0l calibra engine in it,

Not sure what the corners called but it's the one before adenou bridge,, yeah he was on our ferry all the lads was checking out his bird on the way home 5 days with barely nothing to look at takes it's toll lol

Armco cost 1600 recovery of track 180 and it's getting recovered from Germany this weekend at 650 gutted for him,

Yeaj couple of lads in cossies were behind it rumours was the day after that they didn't die? Our lads thought they had ,

Not sure. I didn't ask too much. The guy from RSR said one came off and died on the track then the other one came off only an hr later on the 3rd corner.
s**t me up. There was no way I was going on in my car with it being my first time. I just did an instructed lap in the 200 then a passenger lap in the csl for my first trip.

Next time I'm getting involved in a good few laps in one of the Rent 4 Ring stage 2 swifts.

remember that C6 WKY Evo aswell now too! He was filling up next to me at the station near the track.

Wouldn't bother with one of them you crash that probably get a bill more than you own cars worth mate also apparently if you hit the limiter you get a charge aswell,, it was my first time we got the Saturday and went down to showboat and watching the cars I was shitting myself honestly lol but then I went out and felt relaxed and comfortable in the car and it was awesome

Yep his words the lap before was I can knock 20secs off my last time, then that happened i never went out thinking about times just wanted a quick clean safe lap

Apparently the excess on the Swifts is £2k. The RSR clio 200 I went in had an excess of €8k!!!! Was shitting myself!!!!

Yeah after one lap completed without drama I was a lot more relaxed. Just didn't trust my car round the track and wanted to get to Brussels Monday night to hit the booze. Defo gonna hammer the ring (oooo cheeky) next time.

just get your 172 on there man, me and graham had ours on and we were giving a fair few bigger cars a run for their money! i took my 200 3 months ago and was terrified of smashing it so went and got the 172. personally i dont think the rentals are that good value. Glad you all enjoyed it. Saw that williams getting taken off, gutted for the lad!

the more and more laps ive done i feel more relaxed, every now and then you get a swift reminder when you see an accident or run a bit wide etc. And it reminds me to respect the place! racked up a healthy 16 laps this weekend.

A decent lap in my eyes was starting and finishing without dying or forking out for damages. What were your total costs involved dan and clio172s?

Insurance? Recovery? Petrol? Did you take any spares? Tyres worn out?

I'm so glad I brought a spare coilpack!!

I paid for my ferries up front and my digs, everything else i just kept getting cash out or using my card. Ill be honest every time i have been ive never added it up, ie fuel laps meals bear etc etc. because i know its going to be a bloody fortune haha, i suspect this time circa £800. if im honest probably more for that 5 days. If it cost double that i would still go, im addicted lol. in october im taking my 200 as my uncle is coming. but the 172 will be back there in april 2013, sporting full suspension, all the trimmings. i have also come across a very good garage over there that i will be getting to do my geo and set up so will prob go for an extra day then.

So bad we had to tell the marshalls on the way out as it was plain dangerous.

Ridicilous the amount Porsches and M3's (CSL)... especially on the weekends.
You do get a bit intimidated lining up in the car park.
But then again it is the place to be and to be seen.

Audi was an S3 mate in the Evo wasn't giving it full beans I don't think but defo wasn't taking it easy after he said he was surprised how well I kept with him especially on that track

The rsr's which you put on they were spot on, year brakes were perfect no fade what do ever and stopping power was immense
