Nuts..!

Morning all

got my new car about a week ago and was looking at geting some bits under the engine bay polished. as you know on the RS the engine cover is held on by 4 screws. howerver mine are all seized on! any ideas how to remove them?

Take it the torx bits have rounded off? Bugger, drill them out! There isn't much you can do matey!

they have started to round off which made me stop for fear of compleatly ruining them. they just wont budge!

I removed mine with grinding a small slot in the heads and using a big fat flat head screwdriver. I used a dremel to grind the slots in the heads.

hmmm i have looked on the internet and site have suggested using impact on the screwdriver to release the thread?

I'd be careful using 'impact' on the alloy if i was you

get the next size torx and use a hammer to knock it in, should be reet then chap
