Depends on the weight really, and how healthy the engine is. The naples is probably around 800kg but isn't the healthiest of engines, mines around 840kg with a 'strong' engine it seems, and wilky19 has only just finished his so there is no comparison yet. Probably around 210bhp/tonne, surprises quite a lot of things...

As you say they are popular as f*ck now, its all because the conversion is so much easier now really. I wrote guides for the wiring as I did it and other helpful PDFs, which makes it doable in pretty much no time at all. There were only a handful about when I did it early 2009, now I could count 15 probably. Prime example is Patrick_g46, he did the whole thing in a weekend..

Yeah it really is that easy if you get a complete engine and drop it in, then wire it up with the guide...

If you go off averages and class the 1*2s as standard, they are only around 160-165/bhp tonne, civics a tiny bit more - so you do the maths lol. The stripped Mk1/F4R is technically 50bhp up. We had a do with a civic last night on the way back, he was left a fair way behind to say the least. Comparison wise in the past mine has been dead on pace with a mapped 147GTA, pulled past a lightly modded Astra VXR with a passenger in mine and left an M3 Cab struggling to keep up (Although they do weigh 1700kg lol) - to name a few..

Yeah - compared to the F7R I had its a completely different drive. Feels a lot happier to rev, plus a load more torque and obviously the gain in BHP - makes all the difference

The guy in the Type-R was me... A fellow Clio sporter.

I wouldn't think for a second that my Type-R would be faster than a hybrid. I've owned one myself and know how quick they are. Epic cars and would love to have one again just a shame I do so many motorway miles. Just thought I would have a little do. Shame I was 3 up being egged on my mates lol.

Looked like a good turn out anyway, would love to come to one just whether you would mind a Type-R their.

Yeah stopped next to him at the lights. I went up through 1st and 2nd then realised I didn't have a hope in hell lol. Followed in towards the M6 but there were loads of road works so I gave him a flash and headed back at the roundabout.

Chris's was a proper do, low down in 2nd, none of this mid range 4th where you have the longer gears Plus 1*2s just die off when they get to 5k in 5th, mine does not lol. You've been out in it now, so you should know its quicker ha. New clutch ftw!
