o/s inner cv boot split help

just done an ispection and noticed the inner boot has gone. ive seen these stretchy boots but duno if theyll fit. does the shaft split at the boot were the bearings go into the cup any help will be apreciated thanks.

182 and 172 shafts are different according to our suppliers at work, doesnt say why though :S

Try ringing Renault?might do an exchange one.

renault quoted me roughly 120quid for a new shaft , 250 if i wanted it fitted.lol

its £200 for a new shaft, the service exchange units are in a word s**t, you have to go NEW

182 is a different length

well my local parts shop has got 1 on order 4 me £130 and ill fit it myself thanks for the help guys. dont think itll be a renualt 1 tho

got the shaft and the boots on the out side instead of fitted into the cup witch gives a mil between the boot and the block and the abs ring is to big so gonna take it back. genuine one i think

genuine is the only way, sadly

all the different sport shafts are different. I think there's 5 (?) variants

I think mine has split also as there is a lovely splattering of grease under the car.

Are there any boots that are tougher or am I better to stick with the Renault boot?

Pretty sure only the Renault ones are any good unfortunately.

it'll go horribly wrong non genuine, i bet it'll rub on the back of the block

give it a week, it'll be fucked
