obd2 compatability

Hi all new to here, have been browsing thought time to join.
can any of you avid fans of the clio help me out.
I am trying to find out what protocol my clio is, the car is a 04/2001 clio rn 1.2 5 door,
I have located the diagnostic port but this tells me nothing, some posts tell me its obd2 some say its not.
please help thankyou.

It should be OBDII compatible as the regulations came in that all petrol cars after January 2001 must be OBDII compatible.

is there any sure fire way of finding out, I spoke to someone the other day and he said look at emissions sticker, but can not find it anywhere,

I've never heard of an emissions sticker?

​Only way to find out really is to plug a code reader in and see if it works. You can buy cheap ones on eBay for £20 that will do very basic OBDII code reading.
