Odd windscreen washer problem

Washers both front and rear were working fine one minute. Then the next there was a problem. The rear is still working fine. When I attempt to wash the front though, the back works instead! What's all that about anyone? And how can I solve it?

mine used to do that, just wiggle stalk about and turn wipers on off, hasnt come back in over a year

Changed mine, made a guide, easy job.
