OEM numberplate removal........help/tips please

  RB 182 with CUP packs
I have just had my private plate reassigned to the Clio & hoping to tackle swapping them over tonight.

From what I've read on here it seems the plastic rivets need to be drilled out.
But is there an easier way?

I presume you have to remove the bootlid internal panel to take the back part of the rivet out as to stop any annoying rattle too?

Any help or tips would be gratefully recieved.

Thanks in advance a Monkey in need ;)

mine was just a stick on, not screwed in or anything. Shouldn't yours be too?

even my mates mk1 v6 is a stick on.

^^^ Depends on the dealership that supplied the car . They can be screwed , riveted or stuck on .

you got 2 choices , drill them or stick them on , halfords to the the number plate sticky pads

I have a tried & proven method to reattach the new plates mate, just a matter of removing the old ones first.

Also do I have to remove the bootlid panel to take the back of the rivet off?
Anyone?
