OEM Tape for CD player, straight swap?

I don't really need a banging sound system or much functionality as it's just a wee run around until I pass my test. But wanted to know if it was a straight swap out from the OEM tape player to an OEM CD player?

I mean the keys are a few quid on ebay and there's a CD player with code on ebay for £35. Will the screen / stalk functionality be a straight swap over? Never done anything like this before.

Should be a straight swap but you could get a cheap aftermarket head unit with USB & Aux connection for next to nothing, and would link up to an ipod etc

Most people would appreciate a CD player upgrade, you can give them the tape deck with the car

Yep straight swap, old one out, new one, input new code and job done.

Sweet, did a best offer and got one with a code for £35. Waiting on the keys arriving this morning and hopefully getting it done today. Also ordered some new floor mats to replace the horrible Halfrauds blue chequerplate pieces of s**t the car came with and a new gear gaitor with plastic surround as mine keeps popping out.
