I think RS Clios are soon becoming the new Alfa in terms of the rollercoaster of emotions the owner gets!
Driving down with my girlfriend to her place in Cornwall, we find a cracking and the car couldn't be better. Fast forward 2 hours....
And we driving through what I'd described a bit of a dodgy area of Bristol (Montpelier) and suddenly there is a large thud from under the bonnet, then the battery and 'STOP' light ignites on the dash board. We find a safe place to pull in and inspect the damage. Turns out a bolt holding the alternator has worked lose and knocked it out of line, and has chewed up the Aux belt.
So, we then spend 45 minutes waiting for the RAC man to come out and tell up he can't repair it, then another 45 minutes waiting for a recovery lorry to take us on to Cornwall. Sadly due to new laws or something, we have to change recover lorries at Tiverton! So after leaving bedford at 10:00 we finally arrive at our destination at 22:10!
