oh no wot a mess

had a bumkp in my clio drivers side front end. not good . ne 1 no wot the round fillter thing is on the front drivers side on the horn bracket as this got smashed 2 bits

p reg 1.4s both pipes hav broken off and in side it looks like a fillter of sum sort but wot 4 help

It's a carbon canister for collecting petrol tank fumes.
Under certain conditions the injection ECU will operate a valve and suck the contents into the inlet to be burned off.
Left broken will allow fumes from your tank to vent to atmosphere.
You may also experience a bit of a flat spot when on light throttle.
Not life threatening, but get it fixed anyway.

i think it could have been broken b4 the smash now u say that about that flat spot.... so will ot be ok 2 drive need 2 get 2 work in morn so i can get the parts 4 it
