Right, my 1996 Clio 16v cant pass it's MOT because of its emissions, due to its head gasket on the way out...ive been quoted £750 to have it fixed with a couple of other things.

Ive decided to try sell the car as it is... its done 113k, got a nice stereo and been looked after (while ive had it anyway)

Could anyone give me a price i should ask for the car? gutted to be letting it go but just cant afford it. Would i be crazy to ask around £400?

A complete engine swap would be less than £750 tbh, I think that somone supplying the engine & doing the work would come to about £500 (ish)

Have you considered selling it as spares ?? What's the rest of the car like apart from the engine ?
