oil change 1000 miles

anyone bother getting their oil changed at 1000 miles?

Waited til 1st service @ 12k then had oil flush & shell hellix ultra 5w40 put in, 5 litres for £33 from shell filling station, £4 for wynns flushing agent

Changed to Mobile 1 after 1300 miles and just had it changed again at 9500.

i used a special oil called our andys hard to get hold of but makes a big difference well worth tryin to get some

The oil in my Cup wasnt the right oil the engine should have! Way too thin!

I changed mine after 1500 miles and again after 7500, using Total Quartz 9000 5W-40. For £20 a go inc filter, why not.

Yes, I changed mine just after the run-in period and it did look like it had a bit of swarf in it. I think its an excellent idea to do it. Not least cos the Elf oil they put in made the engine noisy as fook. Kwikfit did me a magnatec 10w40 and filter change for 29 quid.
