Yo people,
Have the 36k service coming up in a couple of months, and know its going to be pricey even if i go to a Ren specialist instead of steelers...
To try and save a couple of quid i was thinking of doing the oil filter and oil change (and pads if needed) before taking it in for the service. I've not changed the oil before, and i'd like to do it just to learn, for peace of mind etc and so i can put the oil in that i want.
Do you think this is worth while doing?.... How much money would i save if i did it myself? Also it's nice to go into the garage and know in the back of my mind (and tell them) that the oil doesn't need to be changed and the pads etc are fine, obviously will save them a lot of time.
I take it that to do the full 36k service, i.e. AUX kit included, they dont need to remove the oil?
Any advice is appreciated!
