Oil filter question

Just done a quick oil change between services from renault dealer.

the Fecking dealer didnt change the oil filter, how do I know? I marked the oil filter with a tape, and the tape still there.

I asked the service ppl, their reply is "it only need to be changed every 10000mile."

The question is Ive done 8000mile on the filters already, how long does an oil filter lasts?

Can I just get a new filter and change it without drain the engine oil?

Ill be doing my oil change myself next time.

yeah I did, I specifically asked for oil & filter change.

If its on ur invoice then uve been charged for it, hence demand it to be re-done. There fault they didnt change it when they drained the oil. Muppets.
