Oil for my 172, what do you think?

  172
I work for a motorbike performance centre and we stock Putoline Oil which is the best stuff for bikes.

If i put the best 10/40 4 stoke oil in my car it wouldn't harm it would it?

My boss says cos bikes have higher tolerances etc and rev higher that bike oil is better made and should be better.

Anyone whos had experiences or wish to share their views would be great if you could post it here.

appreciate all the replies but no-ones answered my question. Is it okay to put in the car, 10/40 bike stuff

i know about 5/40 and all the makes, but we sell Putoline at work and can get it cheap so was thinking of using this.

i wouldnt be putting bike oil in a car. You cant use car oil in a bike so would have thought it wouldnt work other way round.
Oil is used for different things in a bike.

i posted the eBay to show you the Motul you all recommend, i can get this cheap through work so Motul it is.

As for Liam's post, bikes rev up higher than cars, we have a 250 2 stroke at work that tops out at 20,000!

Oil is therefore going to be better produced to cope with this, car oil in a bike is a no-no but it should be fine the other way round, just waiting for Putoline Tech dept to e-mail me bike with their views, ill keep you posted!
