oil for my dci

is it normal for a new car after 3months an 1500 miles to need a top up of oil what type of oil should i use

we had to top it up yesterday im not sure if it was underfilled to start with the oil readout in the car aways read oil ok

The display always says ok until it drops down to the minimum (assuming the sensor is working ok).

Its not unsualy to burn a bit of oil top to bottom of the dipstick is only 1 liter though check when cold though it can make a big difference.

5-40 or 10-40 fully sythetic but you could always change the whole lot some new stuff and keep the extra but for next time if you ever need to top up agaian.
