Oil Leak Help...

  1.6 Ford Focus
I posted a few days back about oil leaking from the PAS tank but I just followed the pipes through properly and it seams to be bigger than I thought...

It's not spilling its fluid everywhere, in fact I just checked all the tanks under the bonnet and all are at their maximum lines.

Any ideas what the problem could be?

yeah looks like the boots split. Not had it serviced recently? Sometimes they overfill them

It hasn't been serviced for quite some time... I haven't had the money for it.

I had to fill up the PAS tank a month or two back because the fluid mysteriously vanished. I guess the PAS tank is very slightly overfilled, but not by much... that wouldn't cause it would it?

Is this an easy fix, something I can do myself? Or is it going to be a garage job?

You can do it yourself, but for the price of a driveshaft, and the ballache of changing the boot on it, just buy a reconshaft

Wait hang on, I just googled this and its going on about the axles. The leak I have is between the fluid tank and the input to the PAS pump.

If it is what you say, I just spoke to my mate who is a mechanic and aparently the part is about £10 but probally wont stop the leak entirely.
