Oil Leak..Smoke! HELP

Need help asap!

My brothers civic type r is having a few issues..

Driving back home it started smoking from the exhaust and oil sprayed on the back of the car..

Hes then got home and theres oil leaking from the underneath of the car, drips every 20 seconds..

Checked the tell tale signs for head gasket but doesnt seem to be the same symptoms bar the smoke..


Any help??

my mate came back from the 'ring and on the boat it sprung a leak, we had a good look round and found the filter had come loose, sounds simple and stupid but well worth a check dude

Oil filter had a rusted hole in it, replaced it this morning and no more oil dripping out, just waiting to see if anything else goes wrong when he next drives it. Cheers

blimey when was the oil and filter last changed for the filter to get a rusted hole in it?!

hes ignorant, hasnt serviced it for at least 3 years! had the same problem before so he may start servicing it more often now..
