Couple of days ago I noticed the corner of my under tray was looking wet. Not lost any oil according the dip stick but then took the under tray of and found this. I know one is going to be gear selector seal but no idea on the other one.
I was worried it was gonna be either the cam cover or something around by the belts but I managed to get my phone in there and could see the belts were dry and so was the cam cover. If it's just the sump then I can live with that for a while.
My bet its the crank end cap behind the flywheel, this tends to leak a lot. Also the dephaser solenoid seal can leak causing it to run down back of engine and accumulated on top of the sump join area (you will see oil collecting on top of the cam cover). All this is from personal experience. No saying it isn't the sump gasket.
Also worth a check is to make sure break fluid isn't seeping out of the bottle cap and dripping down onto the under tray
Checked the brake fluid and that's fine. It's frustrating when you can't find the source. Engine bay is so cramped. Only just had dephaser pulley, cambelt, auxiliary belt, water pump and tensioner changed about a Month ago. Cars only got 38000 on the clock but has already cost me a fortune.
Think I have a leak here, looks like it's coming from behind the flywheel. Also have the gear change leak.
Could be a pas leak-ive had one from the rear and front of the engine!
