Oil Leaks

Hi all,

I have an oil leak - It seems to be coming out of the TOP BACK of the engine and dripping on the manifold then burning off into horrible smell and steamy white smoke...

Thing is, in my years of driving i havent really had oil leaks so dont know if this is a "Serious" or "not bad" problem.. ITs only slowely oozing out.. not pissing or anything.. Performance is fine just if in a queue of traffic ill occasionally get a little puff seap up through the edge of the bonnet and get funny looks...

JUst started today - any ideas on what it could be and any ideas on fixing, prices, my next step to take (take to reno etc).. also, any one else who has had a similar problem plz let me know... The car is a Cup

better to be leakin oil than burnin it!! but u should get it looked at and keep an eye on the oil level cant imagine it being anythin too serious

Oddly enuff this started to happen to me a couple of days ago...

The symptons u describe is exactly wots happenin to mine...

Im not driving alot of miles at the mo, but it shouldnt cost too much to fix.

Gonna check it out at the weekend.

back now... damn, the buggers on service desk only work half days saturday!! ...

Had a look over it myself anyway, seems like its the Rocker cover gasket, its too high up to be a head gasket... it is basically at the back of the engine, slightly down a couple of inches from the top and to my LEFT of the sparkplugs if i were FACING the engine... looks like an orangey / brown gasket leaking very slightly...
