oil low

Hello all, ive had my 182 for just over a year and last night got a message saying the oil is low, and the serv light came on. Just wondered if this is this normal and have any of you guys had that at one year?

May just need a top up.... check the dipstick.

yeah it is really low, whats do you recommend is the best oil for it. I might just get it changed completely. have done 8200 miles. ta!

I think the service for the 182 is every 12k?

Up to you, could get it serviced earlier.... but I think Elf Excelium or Silokene oil is highly regarded by many in the club. I'll leave the rating to the experts but I think its 5w40.

if you have had it for a year and never done a oil change i suggest you do it now.
or just top it up i think its 10w 40?? correct me if im wrong.
my 205 used to be on oil dialysis it changed its self and just dumped it on the rd had to top it up every week

You should top up with the preferred oil as listed in the handbook for your car. You don't want to go mixing different grades of oil.

you need 5w40 for a 182. I just used shell fully synthetic double helix from the local shell service station.

Get a complete oil change,its recommended you get a full oil change before the 1st service. I changed mine at 3k.
