Oil pressure light on

Hi, i have a problem with my Clio sport ph2 2004. I have a oil pressure light on since i bought the car, i put an external oil pressure gauge just to confirm its pressure and it does. I try to bypass the single cable harness to ground directly, but it still turn on after 2k rev. Did some one know where this cable go, if it go directly attach to the ECU, or directly to the panel instruments? How i know the cable isnt cut somewhere, or goes to some harnesss reference and is missing the connection or faulty. Thanks
