Oil separator setup with throttle boddies....

  C63 AMG, F430 & 172
How does this work? see below, there is three exits from the speration plate, on the OEM manifold the ovel vent on top would breath into the underside of the inlet manifold, the side vent leads to the carbon canister and the rear vent (on a psh1) returns to the side of the head.

Im not sure how it works now with my ITB setup as the side exit still vents into the carbon cansiter, the rear exit now vents into a oil catch tank when then vents under the car! the top exit just seems to be open??

How does this work? I want to remove the carbon canister (trying to reduce the amount of tubes/cables etc) Im happy to keep the oil catch tank and im worried about the top one being left open!

Ben seems to of built the breather into the coil pack mount and the whole thing vents to the carbon canister

The top one does nothing so long as the side rubber hose from the carbon canister isnt connected........If it is,well you dont really want tank fumes vented to the coilpack lol.

The only thing that actually acts as the engine breather is the rear exit...that would go to your catch can.

Right sweeet! So can I "mill" (grind off with a chainsaw) the top "lobe" off? (so its flat) Just dont want the coil pack that high..

Did you only make that bracket/feed as you are keeping the carbon canister?
