Dose anyone know what the correct oil to use in a mk2 1.2 8v clio?My local garage said it was 10w30 oil?is that right

you should be ok with that , most ppl go for 5w40 stuff though

10w30 will be too thin when warm (the 30 bit) in my opinion.

10w40 should be fine, or 5w40 for when it's colder and you want the oil to circulate easier round the engine when you start up.

Ive just been to Halfords to get some oil for my 172 cup and the only 5w40w oil I could find was Halfords own! Does anybody else make the 5w40w?????

try www.opieoils.co.uk i just got 6 litres of silkolene s 5w - 40 and 4 litres of silkolene syn 5 to do both engine and gearbox, with cliosport discount and delivery its £103.00 which is pretty good for a whole fluid change and spare for top ups and better then halfords own!
