Hi All,

I was thinking the other day of how much I missed my old clio. Not the 1.2 or the v6, but the 172 cup! I f**king loved that thing and what I turned it in to. It's funny how my current car is leagues better than any clio I've owned, but in terms of driving fun...the clio wins hands down.

best car ive ever owed. Pish slow in comparison now, but back when i was 17, as my first car, endless days and nights spent working on it, getting it the way i wanted....

i absolutely miss it 100%.

next on my list is a set of recaro buckets, maybe Pole postions, or SPG's, then to remove the rear seats etc.

I have a e46 m3 -

Not as naughty as the cup but i'm sure it would give it a run for its money! not on the bends though.

I miss my old 182 aswell, bought it nearly new, and the current 75k 172 just doesnt compare.

Its funny how you always think older cars were better than they actually were. I miss my old mk1 1.2 biarittz and wish I had it back sometimes. But then i realise how s**t it actually was!

my fav car of all time was my old 205 1.9 gti in miami blue it was a minter i loved that car and the good times i had in it, but the 172 cup is the only car i have driven that reminds me of it and almost feels the same to drive and has that real drivers car feeling! i plan on keeping my cup untill petrol runs out!! personaly dont think there will ever be another car that feels the same tbh todays stuff is all electronic and pants!

also miss my old mk1 xr2 if they made this car new today id buy it straight away!

i agree i miss my old 172 all the time everytime i see a black one i just remember how much i loved mine and how hard i worked for it and how i thought nothing could compair, few months back i test drove a ph1 and 2 182s and was bitterly dissapointed.

I miss my old valver and would buy it back in a second just to have again but i think its dead The g/f's corsa gsi is what i miss most tho, That thing really felt like part of the family

I used to miss my C2 GT 1.6 16v.. Until i got the 172

it was soo much fun to drive great handling and pretty nippy for a 1.6:race: Not as fun as the Clio though

The memories indeed!!.. Fantastic little cars..

I used to have a silver one.. before that a Super Sport in white, with red decals.. Oh those 4 speed boxes and a petrol tank the size of a thimble. lol

I'd love to get another if i had the space.

Miss my old Mk1 XR2 as well,i had a white one when i was 18.

Also miss my MK2 Astra GTE 16V,it was an 89 model,bought it in 93 when i was 20,was one of the quickest things around in a straight line but a bit "hare em scare em" in the bends.

Have to agree. Had a blast with an m3 on some twisties and he wasn't leaving me. Straights appeared and he disappeared.
