Old refurb iPad vs new iPad.

Was considering getting one for the gf as her ancient mac laptop is close to meltdown, plus she uses my MacBook so though an iPad was good middle ground.

Saw on the mac store they have some first gen iPads returned the sale but they are onlyabout £40 less than a basic iPad!

I only want a wifi one, not too fussed on harddrive but would I defo be better off with a new one over a cheaper refurb?

I have just bought a refurb iPad 1 from Apple, after watching a few speed comparison tests and reviews on YouTube, I didn't see the need for me to spend 120 quid more for what I need. Still much quicker than my netbook and I am not disappointed with my purchase.
