i have a been told its my spark plugs so i have baught some new ones but i have no engineering knowlage at all is it safe for me to take the top part of the engine off to get to the plugs or should i take it to a garrage, i have had a look and it looks simple but could i cause more problems simply taking it off and putting it back on .thnx.

yea i have all the right tools and stuff it was just taking the top part of the engine off that bothered me but as u say it looks pretty simple cheers m8

become a member and look at the guide in the guide section. Could be the coil pack if not the sparks.

yea i will do im only assuming its the plugs bcos my mate took them out and cleaned them when it first happend and it didnt stop it but it sounded alot better, it looked like they had not been changed for about 3years, are new coil packs expensive if that is the problem

its pretty easy to get the head of just undo the bolts at the front and the 2 eather side of the coil pack that hold the head on and just undo the clip holding ur air pipe, then just lift off. Also make sure u use a spark plug socket when taking them out.
