one day insurance?

hi all, basically I need to get my car mot'd. at the minute it's sorned but i need insurance to drive it to the mot station. Anyone ever tried a day insurance or similar? what would you do?

you can go on google and type temp inusrance and it will give you a list of insurances, such as tempcover, insuredaily etc etc

if you have a running policy already some insurers will let you add the car on for a specific period.
give them a bell
